SANTA CLARA LIBRARY FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES “LOVE OUR LIBRARY” LOLLAPALOOZA EVENT!
February 10 , 2016 , Santa Clara, CA – The Santa Clara Library Foundation and Friends is pleased to announce their upcoming 3rd Annual event, the Love Our Library Lollapalooza Great Gatsby- themed fundraiser.
The event will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 honoring the library heroes at the Mission City Community Fund. The fundraiser helps to support the great programs and services offered to the community and funded by the Santa Clara City Library Foundation and Friends.
Enjoy music, fun, live auction, and delicious food by the Mission College Culinary Arts Program. Gatsby-style costumes are encouraged. Business or semi-formal attire is also welcome!
Special guest speaker, Greg Lucas, State Librarian of California
Governor Brown appointed Greg State Librarian of California on March 25, 2014. He was senior editor for Capitol Weekly from 2011 to 2014. Lucas has written and edited California’s Capitol, a website he created in 2007 focused on California history and politics. He was Sacramento bureau chief and a Capitol reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle from 1988 to 2007. He covered the Capitol for the Los Angeles Daily Journal from 1985 to 1988. Lucas has a master’s degree in professional writing from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s in communications from Stanford University.

Order tickets before February 12 for $50. Tickets are $60 between February 13 and February 27. Online registration closes at Noon on Saturday, February 27 at www.lovethelibrary.dojiggy.com.
